Man Kills Father At West Babylon Home, Police Say

Suffolk County Police say Third Precinct officers responded to 36 Phillips Walk in West Babylon after a woman called 911 at approximately 12:55 p.m. Friday, June 10 and stated her son strangled her husband. 

Officers responded and found Robert Taylor, age 64, dead.

Homicide Squad detectives arrested his son, James Taylor, age 34, at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder. 

He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, June 11.
